Yuri Elkaim recommends:
- Apple cider vinegar to lower the blood sugar response.
- Cinnamon to lower blood sugar.
- Raw potato starch is a starch that your body does not digest. It decreases blood sugar, insulin response (so your cells will respond to insulin).
- Short bouts of intense exercise. Like on a bike or squats or push-ups to get your heart pounding for 20 seconds. Then recover to 1 minute. Do that for 10 minutes and you’re done. When you stress your muscles, they become responsive to nutrients, afterwards.
Remember that sugar erodes your nerves and that’s what causes peripheral neuropathy, among other things.
